Petersburg’s effort to form a borough reaches another key milestone this week. Alaska’s Local Boundary Commission will be in town to hold a public hearing and take testimony on the plan. Proponents and opponents from inside and outside of Petersburg have been planning to take part. The five member commission is slated to make a decision Friday afternoon. Matt Lichtenstein reports:
