Local veterans of the armed services had a chance this week to find out more about available benefits and get help enrolling in programs. Carlton Lewis, national service officer for the Military Order of the Purple Heart and Rick Koch, state command chaplain for the Alaska National Guard met with veterans and local clergy in Petersburg. Joe Viechnicki spoke with Koch and Lewis about what’s available and how people can enroll.
