Petersburg’s boys and girls basketball teams are both still alive in the Clarke Cochrane Christmas Classic in Ketchikan.

The Vikings beat Klawock this morning 51-42 in overtime in the consolation bracket and have another game Wednesday at 12:30 against either Craig or North Pole. The boys lost their opening game in the tournament against Monroe Catholic 57-35 on Monday.

The Lady Vikings play Ketchikan tonight, Tuesday, December 30th around 9 p.m. after winning their first game of the tournament Monday night 57-51 over University Prep, a school from northern California. The girls have beaten Ketchikan already this season, a 47-45 victory at the Little Norway tournament in Petersburg earlier this month. The winner of tonight’s game plays for the tournament crown tomorrow evening.
