Petersburg High School’s cross country teams are tapering their workouts this week as they head to the regional meet in Juneau. The boys and girls team finished up the regular season with strong runs at Ward Lake in Ketchikan last weekend. The girls team finished in second place behind Juneau at that meet and they were the top small school. The boys finished in fifth place with Juneau-Douglas and Sitka tying for first, followed by Ketchikan and Thunder Mountain. Several of the local runners set personal records, called P-Rs, on the Ketchikan course.
