An advocate with SAIL–Southeast Alaska Independent Living– is visiting Petersburg this Wednesday through Friday. SAIL is a non-profit organization that tries to inspire personal independence for the elderly and people with disabilities.

SAIL Advocate, Leslie Wood, will be checking in with Mountain View Manor Assisted Living Facility while in town. She also wants to introduce people to a new program that helps veterans with daily living activities, called Voice Southeast. She talked with KFSK’s Angela Denning about the new program.

Leslie Wood is an Advocate with SAIL or Southeast Alaska Independent Living. She’ll be in Petersburg Wednesday through Friday. To schedule an appointment with her call (907) 419-9040.

A SAIL advocate usually visits Petersburg twice a year.
