The Petersburg High School boys track team finished sixth at a meet in Juneau last week. The girls team finished eighth out of eight teams but was represented by just one athlete.

There were seven boys teams and eight girls teams at Thunder Mountain High School in Juneau May 3rd and 4th.

For the boys team Julian Cumps was first in the long jump. Koren Sperl took second in the discus. Aiden Luhr was third in the high jump. Tolin Eddy was fifth in the 16-hundred and sixth in the 32-hundred. Owen O’Brocta was sixth in the 110 hurdles.

For the girls, Kendra Coonrad took third in the 300 hurdles and tied for fifth in the high jump.

The track teams are back in Ketchikan this weekend before returning to Thunder Mountain for the regional meet.
