Petersburg High School’s varsity volleyball team won three and lost three matches at the season’s first seeding tournament in Skagway. The Vikings beat Skagway, Haines and Metlakatla while losing to Craig, Klawock and Wrangell. The matches from this tournament and another one in November will determine the team’s seed for the regional tournament in Wrangell. Joe Viechnicki spoke with head coach Jaime Cabral about how his team played.
