Eight quilts were handed out this morning at this year’s Veteran’s Day assembly in the Petersburg High School Gym. Local quilters with the Rain Country Quilters teamed up with high school volunteers to make most of the quilts.  The local effort is part of a national program called, Quilts of Valor. The group’s goal is to get quilts into the hands of every local veteran.
