The Petersburg Indian Association is seeking feedback from tribal members on priorities for services in the community.

The tribal government provides social and cultural programs for its members and the greater community.  It’s currently involved in a comprehensive planning effort to define what other services are needed in Petersburg.

This month incumbent PIA council president Cris Morrison was elected to serve another year in that role. She took over that spot last spring when former president Tracy Welch was hired as administrator. Joe Viechnicki spoke with Morrison this month about PIA’s services and the tribe’s planning effort

That’s PIA tribal council president Cris Morrison. Also elected to that council this month were Kayla Perry, Heather Conn and Maryann Rainey. The council is also working on updating the tribe’s constitution and bylaws. Their next meeting is February 3rd.
