An online show by some of the youngest artists in Petersburg opens on Mother’s Day this Sunday. It’s the fourth year for an exhibit of work by kids in the Good Beginnings Preschool and the Kinder Skog after-school program.

The show includes around 95 art works from 29 kids in the preschool and around 17 in the after-school program.

The annual show is also a fund raiser for the two programs. There’s a silent auction for a collaborative piece that will be on display at Anchor Properties on main street. Greeting cards and mugs with the artwork will also be for sale. Normally the show has an in-person reception at the museum but it won’t this year because of the pandemic. Instead it’s all online.

Joe Viechnicki spoke with Kinder Skog co-directors Barb Steltz and Katie Holmlund. Steltz is also director of Good Beginnings and Holmlund is a teacher there.

The website goes live Sunday, May 10.
