The Petersburg Volunteer Fire Department responded to a fire call Wednesday just after 5 p.m., the same time some people were getting off of work and hitting the road.
Dave Berg is spokesperson for the volunteer fire fighters. He says the call was about a fire in a washer/dryer unit in the Scow Bay Loop Road area.
