Petersburg High School’s wrestling team got to compete last weekend for the second week in a row, that was the good news. The bad news was it was against the same two schools that visited Petersburg the week before. The Vikings traveled to Haines and took on their counterparts from Haines and Juneau again. Joe Viechnicki spoke with head coach James Valentine about the highlights.
Some of the team plans to compete at the Anchorage Christian School invitational tournament this weekend. That’s the biggest tournament of the season outside of the state championships and draws wrestlers from around Alaska.
