As sporting events and races are canceled or delayed this year during the pandemic, many people are seeking to keep up with their training and complete their exercise goals anyway. Here in Petersburg 19-year-old Eva Lenhard ran 26 miles on Mitkof Highway last month after a marathon she was planning to run was canceled. Lenhard attends Whitworth University in Spokane, Washington. She started training for that distance since the day after Christmas and found out in March that she wouldn’t be running in Spokane. Joe Viechnicki spoke with her about her long run.
