Petersburg assembly passes emergency declaration, voting change for telephone meetings

Petersburg’s borough assembly Monday passed a declaration of disaster emergency and an emergency ordinance in response to the coronavirus pandemic.

Both PHS basketball teams open region tourney with wins

Petersburg High School’s boys team beat Wrangell Thursday 45-34 to open up the region five 2A tournament in Juneau. The girls team also won their opening game Wednesday, topping Wrangell 35-27.
