The January 6, 2022 edition of the Petersburg Pilot is the first in more than 45 years with the local weekly newspaper under new ownership.

Petersburg’s assembly hasn’t taken any action to block the move – so ATVs and other all purpose vehicles are legal to drive on any street with a speed limit of under 45 miles an hour in 2022.

Petersburg continues to dig out from a heavy New Year’s weekend snowfall.

Petersburg no longer has a local mandate for face coverings in indoor public spaces that’s been in place since early November.

Petersburg’s assembly Monday voted to take some very preliminary steps toward developing a potential new harbor in Scow Bay about two miles south of downtown. Local elected officials are hoping to capitalize on federal funding and could combine several projects into one location.
