Petersburg Medical Center awarded for quality of care

The Petersburg Medical Center has been recognized for its quality of care from a physician led non-profit group that looks at hospital performance.

The total number of pink salmon cans that were packed in Petersburg this summer was 4,883,627.

There were only three entries in this year’s Humpy 500 Go-Cart Race but they were all pretty serious contenders.

The winter troll fishery opens on Saturday, October 11. The fishery targets Alaska wild Chinook salmon and Chinook that are from hatcheries.

Petersburg’s borough assembly has not met since mid-August and the agenda items are piled up for this Monday’s meeting.
