A Petersburg home was destroyed in a fire Jan. 13. Local firefighters responded to the residential fire about two miles out of town along Frederick Point Drive. By the time they arrived, the house was completely engulfed in flames, according to Petersburg’s Fire Chief, Dan Bird. No one was home at the time of the fire; neighbors said that the owners are on vacation.
