Petersburg High School’s varsity volleyball split a home and away series with Wrangell last weekend. The Vikings lost to the Wolves in four games Friday night in Wrangell before sweeping a home match on Saturday night. It was also the last home match for five seniors on this team. The junior varsity team also won two matches from Wrangell. Joe Viechnicki spoke with coach Jaime Cabral about the weekend.

The region five 2A tournament starts Thursday in Metlakatla. The top two teams qualify for the state championship later this month.
