PHS varsity basketball takes three of four in homestand

Petersburg High School’s varsity basketball teams won three of four games at home against Metlakatla last weekend. Those were the first games of the season for the Lady Vikings and the first home games for the Vikings. Coming up next is the heart of a condensed scheduled for Southeast 2A basketball.

Board of Fish postpones in-person meetings this spring

Alaska’s Board of Fisheries Monday voted to postpone in-person meetings planned for Ketchikan, Cordova and Anchorage this spring because of COVID-19 precautions. But the board decided not to push back their schedule for next year. That means the board could be gathering in-person next fall and winter for an ambitious schedule and multiple back-to-back meetings.
