Kupreanof welcomes visitors this Saturday

This Saturday is Kupreanof Day and the community is inviting Petersburg residents and others to their tiny island town. There will be free boat rides back and forth Saturday 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. from North Harbor.

Alaska Airlines pushes back start date of all-cargo planes

Alaska Airlines announced that Petersburg and other Southeast towns would continue to see combi airplanes used until next summer. They plan to retire the aircraft and move to all freighters and all passenger planes.

School board to consider increasing meal prices

Farragut Farm shares harvest with local families in need

Farragut Farm is joining with farm customers to give away veggies to Petersburg families. They gave out bags to 10 families at their first stand of the year May 1.
